Doris Faye (Willis) Askew

Doris Faye Askew, age 76, Erwin, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Erwin and the daughter of the late Murphy and Bertha Mae Willis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Adrain Askew; her son, Stacy Len Askew; several brothers and sisters.

Doris leaves behind to cherish her memory, one daughter, Lisa Hatcher and Tim Hyder; one son, Marlon Holder; three grandchildren: Kimberly and Austin Harrell, Lonnie and Kelsey Askew, and Ashley and Blake Duncan; five great grandchildren: Hunter, Cameron, Jaedyn, Landon, and Zecheriah; two special nieces: Rozina McKinney and Lorraine Lane; several other nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Tilson Mountain Cemetery. Rev. Harold Lewis will officiate. Pallbearers will be Tim Hyder, Austin Harrell, Lonnie Askew, and Blake Duncan. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:55 PM Friday.
