Donald Edward Dehaven, Jr., age 62, of Erwin, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 20, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 24, 1962, to the late Donald Edward Dehaven, Sr. and Marie Vance Dehaven.
Donald was a former employee of NN Ball and Roller. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, camping, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play football, and he was a Dale Earnhart, Sr fan.
Donald is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Ruthie Higgins Dehaven; sisters, Debra Miller and Donna Buck; mother-in-law, Shirley Higgins; sister-in-law, Janie Higgins Casey (Danny); niece, Rebecca Tolley; two great nieces: Elsa Stokes and Macie Timmons; two nephews: Charlie English, and Keaton Casey; two great nephews: Noah English, and Mason English.
Donald’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025, in the Evergreen Mausoleum with Preacher Brandon Flynn officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend should meet at the Evergreen Mausoleum by 1:50 p.m. on Monday. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
