David Joseph White

David Joseph White, age 71, of Unicoi, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Johnson City Medical Center. He lived most of his life in Unicoi County and is a son of the late Eli and Sarah Woodby White.

David loved outdoor activities, especially fishing and hunting. He liked to give everyone a hard time. David adored spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a fan of UT Vols Football and NASCAR.

David was of the Christian Faith.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by two brothers: Ike White and Jimbo White; three sisters: Peggy White, Brenda Wilson, and Patsy White.

David leaves behind to cherish his memory, three children: Davey White and wife, Heather of Mount Carmel, Elisha White of Kingsport, and Joshua White of Unicoi; brother, Kenneth White of Johnson City; sister, Mitzi Hyder of Johnson City; special friend, Warren Davis; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the funeral home. Pastor Estel Williams will officiate the 6:00 p.m. memorial service.
