Christopher "Chris" Shaw Dawson

Christopher Shaw “Chris” Dawson, age 46, Unicoi, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, at his home. He was a native of Oceanside, CA but had lived most of his life in Unicoi County.

Chris was a carpenter. He enjoyed playing pool and video games. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Chris was preceded in death by his father at an early age, Robert Edwin Dawson; maternal grandmother, Thelma and Frank David Holiwski; maternal grandfather, Pete Cherinko.

Chris leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife, Cyndi Dawson; his mother and father who raised him, Cynthia and Teddy Hunter; one brother who is an Iraq War Veteran, Lloyd Dawson (Heather); one half-sister, Bridgette Vines-Dawson; two stepsons: Derrick Davis and Jonathan Robinson; two stepdaughters: Dallas Sneed and Courtney Sneed; five special grandchildren; two aunts: Gwen Fuscardo and Sharon Adler (Ray); three nephews: Bobby Joe Dawson, Thomas Dawson (Malloree), and Zachary Dawson; special cousins: April and Randy Lyda, Michelle Adler, Kari Adler, Frank Fuscardo, Jen Petrovitch (Mike), Darcii Deluca; many other cousins and a host of relatives also survive.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM Monday, June 7, 2021, in the Robert Ledford Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM. Rev. Cecil Scott Woodby will officiate.
