Carroll Reece Smith

Carroll Reece Smith, age 88, Unicoi, Limestone Cove Community, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. He was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and son of the late Charlie Smith and Adaline Davis Smith. 

Carroll was a believer in Jesus and loved his Lord. He was a self-employed carpenter for many years before his retirement. Carroll loved to walk for exercise, he enjoyed walking miles every day. He liked to joke around and cut up with people. 

In addition to his parents, Carroll was preceded in death by his two daughters: Barbara Smith and Brenda Smith; several brothers and sisters. 

Carroll leaves behind to cherish his memory, his two sons: Ricky Smith (Debbie), Erwin and Billy Joe Smith; three sisters: Joyce Sneed, Shirley Bailey and Ernestine Carver; special niece, Susie Stevens; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. 

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022, in the Woodby Hill Cemetery, Unicoi. Pastor David Brown will officiate. Music will be provided by Clarence Bailey. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:20 p.m. on Saturday.
