Carol Louise (Boston) Ayers

Carol Louise Boston Ayers, age 88, of Erwin, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Johnson City Medical Center. She is a daughter of the late Bill Boston and Lillian Tatam Boston. Carol lived most of her life in New Jersey before moving to Erwin forty years ago.

She was a member of Hulen Baptist Church. Carol was a homemaker. She enjoyed puzzle books, listening to gospel music and singing.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Bobby Eugene Ayers; two children: Vonnie Lee Tello, and Stevie Jeffery Ayers; four grandchildren: Stevie Ayers, Jr., John Ayers, Laurie Mae Rice, and Joseph Douglas Rice, Jr.

Carol leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters: Sheila Bielecki (Walter), Teresa Masters (Larry), and Bobbie Gene Wheeler; her sons: Tony Ayers, Perry Ayers, Mickey Ayers, and Kertis Ayers (Sandra); twenty-five grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Carol’s graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 02, 2026, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery (Historic Site). Reverend Ferrell Peterson will officiate. Music will be provided by her daughter, Teresa Masters. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:55 p.m. on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in memory of Carol to: The Unicoi County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 223, Erwin, TN 37650.
