Buster Vee Bailey

It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of my beloved father, Buster Vee Bailey, who passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 26, 2024, at the age of 66. He was a man of immense humor who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren.

He had a deep love of caring for and training horses, finding peace in their presence his entire life. Buster retired from Johnson Controls as a Foreman working at Nuclear Fuel Services where he adored his coworkers and had a deep passion for his lifelong profession.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Louise Bailey; his paternal grandparents: Joe & Ida Bailey, Rosie & Vee Street; his oldest daughter, Jamie Lynn King; his brother, Jody Bailey and nephew, Robbie Bailey.

He is survived by his only son, Jason Charles Bailey (Tracy) who will proudly carry on the Bailey name in his honor; his daughter, Jennifer Joyner; his adored grandchildren: Cheyenne, Charmayne & Justin King, Lacey, Remi & Barrett Joyner, Jaxon, Haven & Brock Bailey; a very special great niece Skylar Willis; his sister, Melba Bailey (Jim Tester); several nieces, nephews and his very special friend Donna Lail also survive.

To commemorate his life and the memories we cherish, a service will be held in his honor at Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Noah Taylor officiating. Music will be provided by Mark and Dawn Webb. Buster’s family will receive friends on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Buster’s committal will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. in Garland Cemetery, Buladean, North Carolina. Pallbearers will be Jaxon Bailey, Justin King, Randall Willis, John Bradley, Randy Johnson, Shannon Johnson, John Richardson, John Karczmarczyk, David Jenkins, and Lynn Casey. Those wishing to attend the committal are asked to assemble at the cemetery by 10:20 a.m. on Saturday.

We welcome all who knew him to join us in celebrating the life of a man who was loved deeply and will be missed.
