Brenda Sue (Edwards) Currington

Brenda Sue Edwards Currington, age 78, of Erwin, Tumbling Creek Community, passed away on Sunday, March 02, 2025, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She is a daughter of the late Raymond Edwards and Mabel Peak Thorp.

Brenda was a former employee of Morrill Motors. She was a very kindhearted woman and everyone whom she met loved her. Brenda loved crafting.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-seven years, Scotty “Tennessee Scotty” Currington on December 20, 2023; one daughter, Angie Whaley Hale; brother, Jeffery Ledford; sister, Karen Edwards Roland.

Survivors include her son, Brian Furches of Erwin; her sister-in-law and best friend, Joy Currington Jones (Andrew); sister-in-law, Shelly Currington Webb (Billy) several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will have a celebration of life service at a later date.
