Beatrice Tipton Bryant, age 85, of Unicoi, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. She was a lifelong resident of Unicoi and daughter of the late Benjamin Tipton and Sally Cleo Putnam Tipton.
Beatrice was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed taking excellent care of her family. She was an active member of Marbleton Freewill Baptist Church. Beatrice was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and cooked many meals for church activities.
When Beatrice was a child, she sang on the WEMB radio station. She enjoyed gardening and making preserves. Beatrice loved children and she baby sat many children over the years. She liked entertaining for all holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Beatrice has been a supporter and contributor of the Lakota children at St. Joseph’s Indian School for many years.
In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by two brothers and eight sisters.
Beatrice is survived by her loving and devoted husband of sixty-six years, Harvey Bryant; three daughters: Donna Quillen (Tim) of Greensboro, NC, Lisa Brackins (Eric) of Erwin, and Deana Knox (Craig) of Whitsett, NC; six grandchildren: Canaan Brackins, Audra Woodward, Olivia Brackins, Veronica Quillen, Dawson Knox, and Landon Knox; three great grandchildren: Stella Fae Brackins, Ezra Woodward, and Theodore Woodward; one sister, Hazel Carver of Unicoi; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The Bryant family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the Unicoi Funeral Home. Pastor Sam Fergusen will officiate the 1:00 p.m. funeral service. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Craig Knox, Tim Quillen, Dawson Knox, Landon Knox, Canaan Brackins, and Lucas Woodward.
