Ava (Randolph) Sullins

Ava Randolph Sullins, 86, Erwin, passed away peacefully Monday, February 8, 2021,at the Johnson City Medical Center. Ava was a Unicoi County native and a daughter of the late Garrett and Hassie Pack Randolph.

She was a homemaker and member of Fishery Community Church, where she was an active choir member.

In addition to her parents, Ava was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, Douglas Sullins, Sr., a son, Mark Sullins, a great-grandson, Robbie Jones, brothers, Martin “Murph” Randolph, Von Randolph and Vee Randolph, and her sister, Ruth Gillenwater.

Ava leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Douglas Sullins, Jr. (Melinda); daughters, Donna Garves (Joe), Lisa McCurry (Toney); brother, Donald Randolph (Linda); seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Hillview Healthcare Center, for their care of Ava and Doug these last years.

The graveside funeral service will be held, Friday, February 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM. at the Historical Site of Mountain Home National Cemetery, with Pastor Art Gibson, officiating. Those planning to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:50 A.M Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ava’s memory to Fishery Community Church, 501 Fishery Community Church Road, Erwin, TN 37650.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all who attend the service are required to wear a mask or protective face covering and observe all social distancing guidelines.
