Alvena Graham

Alvena Melissa Graham, age 65, entered the presence of Jesus on December 16, 2022, in Erwin, TN. She was born August 25, 1957, in Phillipsburg, N.J., to the late James Graham and Estelle Morgan Graham. She was predeceased by her sister, Carolyn.

Alvena had a lifelong career as a baker before her retirement. She enjoyed playing video games with her grandchildren and spending time with family. She had a special love for animals, especially wolves and cats of all sizes, and always adopted a rescued kitty. She was a devoted Christian with a warm and generous spirit, and was always ready to help anyone in need. Her greatest joy was her Lord, her family and her service to others.

Alvena is survived by her daughter, Crystal Graham Garcia; her grandchildren and their spouses, Jeremy and Chelsea Garcia, Kaely Garcia Krug and Caleb Krug, and Kathleen Garcia; siblings and their spouses Jamie Graham Schlemmer and Marc Schlemmer, Ralph and Tina Graham, Robb and Susan Graham, and John Graham.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?'" John 11:25-26
