Adam Michael Phillips

Adam Phillips, born on July 31, 1988, in Johnson City and raised in Erwin, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the age of 36. He spent his final moments surrounded by his family and his beloved fiancée, Jaclyn Law, after enduring a prolonged hospitalization in Richmond, Virginia.

Adam was known for his radiant smile and his zest for life. He had a flair for fashion, always presenting himself impeccably. He took pride in his possessions and maintained a close relationship with his parents, Mike and Linda, whom he regarded as his closest friends. A gifted storyteller, Adam filled his life with exciting experiences that he eagerly shared. Whether shopping, riding motorcycles, boating, traveling, or enjoying time with friends, he approached every moment with enthusiasm and a spirit of adventure.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William "Rob" Phillips, as well as his maternal grandparents, Edgar Kimery and Mary Nell Hammer Kimery, and his maternal aunt, Jill White. Adam also mourned the loss of his cherished Maltese, Chloe.

Adam is survived by his devoted fiancée, Jaclyn Law; his parents, Mike and Linda Phillips of Erwin, Tennessee; his paternal grandmother, Louella Rice Phillips of Erwin; his aunts and uncles: Vicky Kimery Sells and Frank Sells of Jonesborough, Tennessee; Brad and Amy Phillips of Knoxville, Tennessee; several cousins including Heather White, Christopher White; and Chad Beam.

The family will welcome friends and relatives from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the funeral home. A celebration of Adam’s life will follow at 7:00 p.m. Adam’s committal will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday in the Evergreen Cemetery.  Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday at 12:30 p.m. to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody Huskins, Alvin Casey, Bradley Casey, Brad Phillips, Chad Beam, Christopher White, Jake Campbell, Justin Pate, and Justin Booth.
